BDR 8 June 2023

  BDR 8 June 2023

The following crew:-

Geoff  = Master of Things
Steve = Mayor of Border Downs
Ray
Stu
Tony
Me  –         are all the workers

We didn’t start off too well, two trains in the helix decided that they  didn’t want half of their load – split in two they did & the reason, well no one knows.
I had the easiest session of all times- not one shunt ; just 6 run through trains – just like Johnny had in his hey day.
Ray put the bridges in – I kept away & not a failure.

Plenty of loco noise as there oodles of new 900 class locos.
One turnout in Border Downs did not like one of the new 900 class diesels ( or is it the loco with dicky back-to-backs wheels ?)

Now there is also the need to do some coupler checks – some of them need the proverbial kick up the…

Noise – not only from locos but the banter as normal but a lot of rain on the shed roof… some parts of the Adelaide Hills had nearly 40mm.

2nd Division Overland was run – nearly due for selling off,,,

Tony’s shunting is getting better – he enlists helpers… trying to get Gold Stars
I had some free time so sat watching Border Downs & even the SM had spare moments….
I did drop my box & car cards went all over – dunno if I got them back into sequence though( it will give the shunter/paper work officer
 something to do   😛    )

That this report I hadn’t expected to get done until next week due to the train show but I managed to get finished earlier in setting up at Greyhound Park so came home & extracted the digit/ manipulated the keyboard just to get it out to youse lot because I know how much you desire to read what you have done ( or didn’t do…)
that’s your lot until I see you on June 22 if not before, at the train show.

Sol
